About FortniteMaps
FortniteMaps is an independent catalog of Fortnite Creative and UEFN maps. It tracks 298,033 islands from Epic's public list, 25,695 of them with players this week, and shows their live player counts, plays over 7 days and codes you can copy in one click.
Where the data comes from
- Epic's Fortnite Data API: the list of every public island, plus plays, unique players, peak players, minutes played and favorites per day. Epic reports nothing for islands with fewer than 5 players in a week, so those show no stats.
- fortnite.com: island images and descriptions, live player counts, Epic's Discover rows (like "Epic's Picks") and creator profiles. This is not an official API: when it isn't available, pages fall back to Epic's API data.
- Visitors: community votes. Nothing else is collected about you (see privacy below).

How the rankings work
- Top 100 and genre lists
- Score = ln(plays over 7 days) + 1.5 × ln(peak players in 24 hours) + 3 × ln(votes this week). Logarithms keep a map with ten times the players from winning by ten times the margin, and let well-liked smaller maps climb.
- Most played right now and the player count
- fortnite.com's live count when it is under an hour old, else Epic's latest hourly peak (under 3 hours old).
- Trending
- Biggest growth in plays over the last 2 days compared with the 4 days before, for maps with at least 3,000 plays this week and at least 15% growth.
- New releases
- Epic's newest islands, in release order, once they reach 300 plays.
- Community votes
- One vote per map per day for each visitor, up to 20 votes a day across all maps. Votes reset every Monday at 00:00 UTC.
- Genres and lobby sizes
- Genres come from the tags creators give their islands (and "XP" in the title). Lobby sizes come from the island's maximum players. A list is only published once it has at least 5 active maps.
Removed maps
When an island has been missing from Epic's list for a week and has no players, its page tells search engines it is gone for good (HTTP 410) instead of showing stale numbers.
Privacy
There are no accounts. A vote is tied to a salted hash of your IP address, never the address itself. "Picked for you" works from the tags of maps you opened or voted for, kept in your browser's local storage and never sent with an identity.
